OPENING HYMN......"Over My Head "
[Refrain]
Over my head I hear music in the air;
over my head I hear music in the air;
over my head I hear music in the air;
there must be a God somewhere.
1. Oh, when the world is silent,
I hear music in the air;
oh, when the world is silent,
I hear music in the air;
oh, when the world is silent,
I hear music in the air;
there must be a God somewhere.
[Refrain]
2. And when I'm feeling lonely,
I hear music in the air;
and when I'm feeling lonely,
I hear music in the air;
and when I'm feeling lonely,
I hear music in the air;
there must be a God somewhere.
[Refrain]
3. Now when I think on Jesus,
I hear music in the air;
now when I think on Jesus,
I hear music in the air;
now when I think on Jesus,
I hear music in the air;
there must be a God somewhere.
OPENING PRAYER:.........
.................Elder Etta Graham-Mitchell
CALL TO WORSHIP:.............Psalm 139
Leader: O Lord, you have searched me and known me. You discern my thoughts from far away.
People: You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways.
Leader: Where can I go from your spirit? Or where can I flee from your presence?
People: Search me, O God, and know my heart. See if there is any wicked way in me and lead me in way everlasting.
Leader: Let us worship God!
ALL: We here at UHPC have come to
worship God!
HYMN 1:...."Lord I Want to Be A Christian"
PRAYER FOR CONFESSION:. (In Unison)
We confess, O God, that our lives are a mixture of weeds and good seeds. The weeds choke us and limit our will to respond. We admire the good seeds and want to nourish them. When the harvest comes, we know that the good seed will be kept and all else will be judged unfit for your realm. Christ have mercy upon us as we learn of your will. Give us guidance and determination as we obey your command. Forgive our misplaced allegiance when we settle for weeds. May we broadcast the landscape with the good seed of your Word.
ASSURANCE OF PARDON:
Leader Paul writes of our assurance when he says: “We know that the whole creation has been groaning in labor pain until now; and not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly while we wait for adoption, the redemption our bodies. For in hope, we were saved.” O how wonderful to know in Christ we are forgiven. Amen.
GLORIA PATRI: .......................(In Unison)
Glory be to Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. .
PASSING THE PEACE:
Leader: Since God has forgiven us in Christ, let us forgive one another. The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with all of you.
People: And peace be with you also.
“I’VE GOT PEACE LIKE A RIVER”.
I've got PEACE like a river (3Xs) in my soul - repeat
I've got JOY like a fountain(3Xs) in my soul - repeat
I've got LOVE like an ocean(3Xs) in my soul- repeat
LIFE OF THE CHURCH:...Renea Bush

O God, tell us what we need to hear, and show us what we ought to do to obey Jesus Christ. Amen.

.......I believe in God, the Father Almighty;
Maker of Heaven and Earth and in Jesus
Christ, His only Son, our Lord; who was
conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the
Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried; He descended into hell; the third day, He arose again from the dead; He ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father, Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the Holy Catholic Church; the communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sin, the resurrection of the body; and life everlasting. Amen.

“Halle, Halle, Hallelujah!"
“Halle, Halle, Hallelujah!"
"Hallelujah!, Hallelujah!"
OFFERTORY INVITATION:
The earth and all it contain belong to the Lord, the world and those who live in it.
OFFERTORY PRAYER:
As the wheat is gathered into the storehouse, O God, so the fruits of our labors are brought into your house. Through the purging fire of your judgment, render our gifts acceptable in your sight. Set them aside as worthy, so that Jesus Christ, the bread of life, may nourish others. May your blessings fall on the givers and those who weren’t able to give today. Amen.
DOXOLOGY -
“ Praise God From Whom
All Blessings Flow"
Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host;

CLOSING HYMN:..
..............."Come, Ye Thankful People, Come "
1. Come, ye thankful people, come,
Raise the song of harvest home!
All is safely gathered in
Ere the winter storms begin.
God, our Maker, doth provide
For our wants to be supplied.
Come to God's own temple, come,
Raise the song of harvest home.
2. We ourselves are God's own field,
Fruit unto His praise to yield;
Wheat and tares together sown,
Unto joy or sorrow grown.
First the blade, and then the ear,
Then the full corn shall appear;
Lord of harvest, grant that we
Wholesome grain and pure may be.
3. For the Lord our God shall come,
And shall take His harvest home;
From His field shall purge away
All that doth offend that day.
Give His angels charge at last
In the fire the tares to cast;
But the fruitful ears to store
In His garner evermore.
4. Even so, Lord, quickly come,
Bring Thy final harvest home;
Gather Thou Thy people in,
Free from sorrow, free from sin.
There, forever purified,
In Thy presence to abide;
Come, with all Thine angels, come,
Raise the glorious harvest home.

HYMN 2:."In Christ There Is No
East or West"
1. In Christ there is no east or west,
In him no south or north,
But one great fellowship of love
Thru'out the whole wide Earth.
2. In him shall true hearts ev'rywhere
Their high communion find.
His service is the golden cord
Close binding humankind
3. Join hands, then, children of the faith,
Whate'er your race may be!
Who serves my Father as a child
Is surely kin to me.
4. In Christ now meet both east and west,

All Christly souls are one in him,
Thru'out the whole wide Earth.
